Terms used consistently throughout this guide and in the portal itself.

People and Organisations¶

Term	Meaning
Client	A customer company that buys from SAMTIA — not an individual person
Client User / Portal User	A person at a customer company who uses the Client Portal
Company Administrator	A customer user who can also manage their own colleagues' accounts and tags
Standard User	A customer user who can shop and order but not manage colleagues
Account Manager	The SAMTIA employee who owns your company's account

Term	Meaning
Wishlist	A basket you are still building. Private, editable, not yet sent to SAMTIA
Label	The name you give a wishlist or order
RFQ — Request for Quotation	A wishlist formally submitted for pricing
Quotation	SAMTIA's priced response to an RFQ
PO — Purchase Order	Your formal order document, uploaded as a PDF to accept a quotation
Order	Confirmed business being fulfilled
Target Price	The price you say you are hoping to pay. Guidance for your Account Manager, not a commitment
Product Request	A request for a product not in the catalogue
Shared wishlist	A draft basket you have flagged for your Account Manager's attention, without formally requesting a price

Delivered	Complete	Nobody
Rejected	The request was refused	Nobody
Cancelled	The business was stopped	Nobody

Term	Meaning
Planning State	Timing signal from the planned date: Late, On Time or Upcoming
Planned Date	When you need the goods
Reviewed Date	When you opened the quotation
Print Quotation Date	When you printed or downloaded the quotation
Needs Attention	A flag raised when you share a wishlist or post a message
Pending Submit	You changed a quoted order but have not resubmitted it
Return Reason	Your Account Manager's explanation for sending an order back

Term	Meaning
Product Category	A branch of the browsing menu you navigate
Brand	A manufacturer you can browse by
Variant	A specific sellable version of a product — a size, a colour, a configuration
Attribute	A characteristic a product varies by, such as Size
Attribute Value	A specific option, such as Large
Tag (product)	A label you can filter the catalogue by
Ribbon / Badge	A small marker on a product card, such as New or Sale
Alert Message	An important notice shown on a product page
Featured Product	A product promoted onto your Home page
Requires Call	A product needing a conversation before it can be ordered. Shown as Call Required
Published	Whether a product is visible to customers at all

Term	Meaning
Active User / Account Manager Approved	The SAMTIA-controlled switch on your user account
Portal Active / Status	The switch your own Company Administrator controls
User Tag	A label your company uses to group its own people
Invitation	The e-mail sent to a new user with their access details and a QR code
Identification Number (Iqama)	An alternative to an e-mail address for signing in

Chat	Live conversation with your Account Manager
Comment	A message attached permanently to a specific order
Account Manager Comment	A standing statement about an order, written by SAMTIA and shown prominently to you
Attachment	A file attached to an order
Notification	An in-portal alert about something that happened
Online / Away / Offline	Whether your Account Manager is currently available

Term	Meaning
Wishlist selector	The header control deciding which wishlist receives products you add
Work Items	The list of things needing your attention, shown on Home
Filters	The panel narrowing a list by date ranges
Banner	A promotional image on your Home page, sometimes aimed at your company specifically
